On the whole I'd say it seems to be VFM. I suppose the usual suspects such as the emergency services, street cleansing, health & social care and refuse collection are needed, at some point, by all. There's bound to be some areas that the council are weak on: road maintanence, local transport planning, and some services I may never use: libraries, recreation facilities, and probably many more, but on the whole I'd say it's okay.

I have to say The Albion has become my favourite over the last few months, as the Landlady/Landlord really do make an effort to create a 'local pub' atmosphere and go out of their way to get to know you and make you feel welcome.

Please check "facts" before circulating them to others (Snopes is very good for this).
